Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Electrical Engineer is a crucial component of the Fleetway Engineering team who selects and specifies electrical equipment for design changes, as well as proposes and identifies integration requirements for modifications to electrical equipment.
Responsibilities:
Selecting and specifying equipment for integration, as well as report writing
Designing and specifying integration requirements for modifications to electrical equipment
Surveying shipboard equipment relating to electrical equipment
Establishing testing requirements and other technical studies
Conducting voltage drop calculations and load analysis
Requirements:
- Minimum five years experience in Marine Electrical System Design (power and automation systems)
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering
- Naval experience would be considered an asset
- P.Eng certification or working towards obtaining P.Eng is required
