Future Openings - Graphic Designer/Technical Illustrator

Reporting to the Manager of Publications, the Graphic Designer/Technical Illustrator is an essential member of the Fleetway Publications team who is responsible for the design of graphic material.
Responsibilities:
- Prioritizing, tracking and maintaining records of the specifications, costs and schedules of multiple graphic design projects.
- Consulting with internal stakeholders, as well as external clients, to evaluate individual project needs.
- Preparing illustrations or rough sketches of material according to customer instructions.
- Researching various graphic design material/illustrations in order to present Fleetway products and services to potential customers.
- Preparing and presenting mock-ups to the Manager of Publications, or internal/external clients, for selection and approval.
- Creating the finished layout and preparing the final proof of graphic artwork for manager and/or customer approval.
- Reviewing all final design layouts and suggesting improvements as required, as well as presenting the final design layouts to the Manager of Publications for approval.
- Maintaining a database of image resource and artwork files.
Requirements
- Minimum of a two-year degree/diploma in graphic design/arts from an accredited college or technical school.
- Minimum of 2+ years working experience in graphic design.
- Must have attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to meet project deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Must have working knowledge of MS Office.
- Must have advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Quark, Adobe Illustrator and Corel Draw, or similar graphic design software.
- Working knowledge of Apple OSX and applications is considered an asset.
