Reporting to the ILS Manager, the Marine Electrical Technologist is an essential component to the ILS team who analyzes and provides input to engineering changes, specifications and drawings, as well as performs technical investigations.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing engineering changes to naval ships, systems, and equipment
  • Providing technical input to engineering specifications and drawings
  • Reviewing and updating naval system and equipment technical documentation
  • Performing technical invesitgations and engineering studies


Requirements:

  • Canadian Naval experience as a Senior Technologist (Electrical), TQ6B qualified
  • Knowledge of marine electrical power generation and distribution
  • Knowledge of marine maintenance procedures and documentation
  • MS Office proficient
  • Certified Engineering Technologist accreditation an asset
  • Knowledge of computerized maintenance management software (CMMS) an asset
  • Knowledge of Integrated Logistic Support analyses (i.e. Logistic Support Analysis, Reliability Centred Maintenance, Life Cycle Cost, Level of Repair Analysis, Failure Mode Effects Analysis, Obsolescence Management) an asset
  • Knowledge of Canadian Forces training plans an asset
