Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Mechanical Engineer is a crucial component of the Fleetway Engineering team who conducts analysis of systems and structures to prepare engineering changes to naval ships, systems and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting engineering analysis (systems and/or structures) in support of various studies
- Preparing reports and specifications
- Preparing drawings and/or 3D models as required
- Analyzing and preparing engineering changes to naval ships, systems, and equipment
- Providing technical input for engineering specifications and drawings
- Liaising with shipboard personnel
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Engineering
6-10 years progressive experience in marine mechanical/structural engineering roles
P.Eng certification or working towards obtaining P.Eng is required
Minimum of 1 year experience with Naval Vessels
MS Office proficient
